The main idea in this work is the design and development of an electronic cash control system for a lending firm. The financial institutions tend to break the burden of the contemporary bank protocols and constraints in offering loans to small scale businesses and individuals. The banks require collateral even from small scale investors. The function or role of a lending firm in our contemporary society is to lend money to individuals who don’t have the credit status or are not qualified for normal conventional bank loans. This software is developed to convert the paper base and single user operation to an interactive and online transaction. The adopted methodology is the Structured System Analysis and Design methodology (SSADM), and the programming language adopted for this project is PHP. The application was developed using Adobe Dreamweaver. MySQL was used for the database design. This cash control software for lending transactions creates a centralized storage of the database for information and also provide data integrity with security protection. It allows individual customer to apply and fulfill all transactions online.

This research work covers only the cash aspect or area (monetary transaction of the firm) and is aimed at providing information retrieval to both the lender and the lending firm easier and faster. It also helps in eliminating the paper way of conducting business and moving them into a nearly complete paperless technology. This work does not include personnel payroll and others.

The programming language adopted for this project is PHP. The application was developed using Adobe Dreamweaver. MySQL was used for the database design. So, the system has three-tier architecture. PHP (hypertext preprocessor) has its root and similar syntax with C and C++. MySQL database is used with PHP in the backend because MySQL can be interfaced with PHP since it will be a web based system. PHP can run on cross platform of both windows and UNIX servers; it can also be used with a large number of relational database management systems. Above all, PHP is cheap, secure, fast and ideal for development web applications.
